We want you to get the care you deserve.
Brad Wolcott, LCSW
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has over 30 years of experience working with adolescents and adults in a variety of settings. My experience ranges from working with adolescents incarcerated in a correctional facility, to being a school social worker on the middle school and high school level, to working with adults on an in-patient psychiatric unit. I have significant experience working with clients who have diagnoses of Depression, Anxiety, Autism Spectrum Disorder, PTSD and ADHD. Change of career concerns, and stress from school, work or family issues, are some of the additional issues that I have helped clients with. I also enjoy working with first responders, veterans, and members of the clergy by helping them with some of the specific issues they face.
I earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the School of Social Work at Loyola University of Chicago and my Bachelor's degree from the University of Notre Dame. In addition, I have a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University.
My Approach to Therapy:
I believe that developing a strong therapeutic rapport with my clients is key to their growth and success. I do this by having a relaxed approach to therapy while allowing the client to develop trust and confidence in our relationship and goals. My training was primarily in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy and this continues to be the primary model of therapy that I use. In addition, however, I will also use elements of other therapeutic models if it is appropriate for the client. These include, but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness.
